Do BLDC Fans Really Consume Under 28W?

Many BLDC ceiling fans are promoted primarily on the basis of their power consumption. However, actual consumption is influenced by several factors such as fan size, airflow output, and operating speed. Second, the fan may indeed consume that little power—but only under specific test conditions, not in typical real-world usage.
